Celebrate the love story of Robert and Clara Schumann
and honor the 200th Anniversary of Schumann’s birth
with this Master Class of rich historical behind-the-scenes story telling, and live piano performance of selections from Schumann’s Carnaval 0p.9 and other favorite works.

piano performance with Dr. Anne McLean.
A member of Stetson’s faculty in the School of Music,
Dr. Anne McLean has a special interest in music of the 20th century. Canadian-born McLean studied piano with Jean-Pierre Vetter in Edmonton, Boris Roubakine at the University of Calgary, and Eduardo Verceli in Switzerland. Upon returning to Canada with the Diplome de Virtuosite she continued her studies, earning a doctorate in musical arts from the University of British Columbia. She has given recitals and master classes in Canada, the United States, England and Australia and has recorded for the Canadian and Australian Broadcasting Corporations.
